School District Grants

ESSER stands for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief fund

Under the ESSER relief fund, the US Department of Education awards grants to State Educational Agencies (SEAs), like the Tennessee Department of Education, for the purpose of providing Local Education Agencies (LEAs), like Lebanon Special School District, with emergency relief funds to address the impact that COVID-19 has had, and continues to have on elementary and secondary schools across the nation.

LEAPS stands for Lottery for Educational Afterschool Programs

The overall goal of LEAPs is to provide Tennessee students with both academic and physical opportunities that reinforce the regular school day with fun learning activities provided by Lebanon Special School District certified teachers and School Age Child Care (SACC) staff.  LSSD's LEAP grant is implemented in SACC from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
