of a maybe we can do something on our own where it would differentiate between us and the county because a lot of times we are different ways more sure who we were or what we were taught to Brian maybe we can get a list of different meetings that schools were having like the principles are having beans with another lot of parents are just showing up for soccer games or things like that which we could but meetings were maybe we could be visible where we can actually communicate more with the parents and the staff members we can make those also budget meeting I know this year was the first time we actually move budget meetings are we used to have it at 8 in the morning in the summer time not really a good time for parents to come to a budget meeting we moved it back to 5 maybe we could have some Workshop this year for next year we do our budget working B. To come in to have some kind of say about different budget items all I'm looking at is more involvement because the more people we bring the table and then talk about it in all the groups that we have why text book ladies we have in our schools we have more than three people and that's the whole thing we don't have full representation again because all these committees you have more because we want more people represent so I continue to feel that more board members would be necessary for that to me for it Retreat workshops for us to open up all of these are steps and a vision for us to grow as a school board because as you can see where the decision-makers on items that are very important for our children are teachers and our community so thank you very much for your time look forward to maybe having some more workshops and some different things that we need to address as parents and community thank you very much appreciate it teaching-learning updates yes sir I had a family matter to attend to but I do want to highlight a couple things from Instructions apartment they got the gauge and some really Stellar professional development over the last few weeks I was at a group that went to National Association of gifted students we had another group went to math and math initiative so they'll come back they'll share with a group of grade level I want to identify also the state has finalized their letter grade for Jackson and so what that's going to look like as each district and school will receive an ATF letter grade than those wait 50% for achievement 40% for growth and 10th set for subgroup below 25th percentile based off of your results they put it into a formula give you a 125 and then that 125 is associated with the letter so this is the first time they've done this state borders adamant that it is legislation that needs to happen but we also want to have the flexibility to adjust in the future show not expect to to do well and if it shows areas to go will do that last item would be related to promotion retention we've mentioned before fourth grade there is not a pathway for promotion if they don't need adequate growth I that's not very many students but we're going to sit down with those parents talk what we're doing with the steps are with tutoring looks like so we make sure we have all of the options on the table and just take care of them so those are all the teaching and learning updates not really a darn next board meeting December 11th AB Winfree Bryant sister location tonight turn on just see what we need to do on that and get back to you on that thank everybody for coming to thank you
