In a heartwarming demonstration of community partnership, the LEAPs Grant—facilitated through the Lebanon Special School District’s School Aged Child Care (SACC) program—joined forces with Coca-Cola to present a $2,500 donation to the Wilson County Help Center. The donation, accepted by Director of Operations Manager Mark Stoppel, will assist with the cost of creating food boxes to support local families in need.
The collaboration was made possible through the leadership of Melanie Ray, Director of the School Aged Child Care program, Connie Gray, LEAPs Grant Coordinator, and Mr. Ronnie Jenkins of Coca-Cola, all of whom have shown continued dedication to serving the Lebanon and Wilson County communities.
Student leaders from the LEAPs 5Alive News Crew added a special touch to the event. Makaylie Bell, Leonidis Bryan, and Lowell Bartruff proudly represented their schools and helped present the donation.
This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of the LEAPs program and its community partners to service, compassion, and student engagement. Together, we are making a difference—one food box at a time.
